We want to take time to recognize and THANK all of our local manufacturers during National Manufacturing Week (October 20-24). The Red Wing Manufacturer’s Association, partnering with the Red Wing Chamber of Commerce, invites all manufacturers and businesses that support them to attend the Red Wing Manufacturer’s Appreciation Luncheon on Monday, October 20, 11:30am – 1:00pm at the St. James Hotel. During our celebration, we will present the Governor’s CERTIFICATE OF COMMENDATION to all manufacturers in attendance. We will also have short presentations from Mayor Dan Bender, Vicki Koehn from DEED and Patty Brown, Red Wing Chamber of Commerce. Reservations are required by October 13 by calling the Chamber office at 651-388-4719. Cost for the luncheon is $10.
Several facilities (8) will be offering guided tours. This is a rare opportunity to enter these secured facilities and learn more about our local manufacturers and about the products being made right here in Red Wing that are sold all over the world!
New this year, we will be offering manufacturing facility tours to students at RWHS. Students will be able to tour Automated Equipment/Elektro Assemblies, Capital Safety, Red Wing Shoe Company, and SCS Elevator Products. Tours are limited to 25 students at each facility. Students must register with Heidi Raasch, Guidance Counselor at RWHS.

Monday—October 20
11:30AM-1PM—Manufacturer’s Appreciation Luncheon—St. James Hotel

Tuesday—October 21
11AM-11:25AM—Dave Muelken will be presenting information to RWHS Students on an overview of the Manufacturing Industry during their advisory period for Grades 9 & 11.
4PM—6:30PM—7th Annual Chamber Business Expo—St. James Hotel—5th Floor
Over 35 businesses will be displaying their products and services, including many of our local area manufacturers. Business After Hours will be running concurrently, hosted by the St. James Hotel so you can enjoy delicious food and beverages while you are going through the trade show.

Tour Guidelines
- Tours are one hour in length.
- All tours are limited to a maximum of 25 people.
- People must register through the Chamber Office (651-388-4719) to attend, prior to the tour.
- Closed toe shoes (no high heels) must be worn on all tours.
- No cell phones and/or pictures are allowed during the tours.
- Picture ids may be required.
