    Registration is now open for the first in a series of workshops about business succession planning. This first workshop, “Talking About Business Succession Planning,” is aimed at helping communities start the conversation about business succession planning and business transition, especially businesses located in our downtown areas. The second workshop(s) will be aimed at the business owners themselves and will be held in Main Street communities that have demonstrated interest by business owners/managers in attending such a workshop.
     
    Who should attend? (PLEASE forward this invitation) Main Street staff, board members, and committee members; Financial planners who work with businesses; Chamber staff; Attorneys that work with businesses; Newspaper/media who are helpful; Economic development professionals and volunteers; Commercial bankers; Commercial real estate brokers; and people who act as a support system for businesses, and are the ones whom the business would go to when they’re thinking about retirement, selling, or can help shape the story in the community.
