“Spruce-A-Palooza”—U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree—is Coming to Red Wing TODAY, November 7—4—8PM—St. James Hotel The U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree is spending the night in Red Wing at the St. James Hotel, TONIGHT! We’re making this a fun, family friendly event for the entire community! Come one, come all, for the fun and festivities! Activities run from 4pm - 8pm with music by RWHS Ovation Choir and RWHS Jazz Band. Also the latest sounds from Universal Music Center Students and many special VIP appearances throughout the night. Plus, FREE hot chocolate and apple cider, ornament decorating and photography opportunities to create holiday memories with family and friends.
The tree is scheduled to arrive in Red Wing at 5PM, escorted by Red Wing Police & Fire departments. We encourage everyone to line Main Street as this very large tree (80’+) on a very large semi (105’) makes its very grand entrance into our city! The tree will be coming down Highway 58, down Bush Street, turn left on Main Street, turn right on Broad Street, go behind the St. James and park overnight on Bush Street between the St. James Hotel and La Grange Park.
